“The photo was shot from the Pest (east) side of the river overlooking the Danube to the west. The domed building is the Royal Palace on the Buda (west) side of the river in the Castle District. Construction on the Palace began in the middle of the 13th century, and it has had various incarnations over the years. The latest version was reconstructed after it was damaged in World War II.”
